Re:bug
although the video quality is bad, i too noticed the jumping / stuttering behaviour of the blocks. how are you then able to play blockout at all ? i suspect there is something totally wrong with your computer. if you have an athlon64x2 4.2 ghz, then there should plenty of speed. and a 6600 gt should...

Re:BL2 Bot Player
recently on www.tetrisconcept.com there were some interesting links posted, that eventually might give you some more ideas on how to improve your bot player: \"For those interested, this article defines many field metrics such as number of holes, surface smoothness, and blocks above holes.\&quo...

Re:Rules for Blockout championship ?
another mode proposal: in classic tetris, there is a \"40lines\" mode. the goal is to do 40 lines as fast as possible. an optimal candidate would be 3dmania for this, with the goal to make 40layers. no need for gravity, as the player must drop as fast as possible anyway. the score is simpl...

Re:Score Increase in six months
imagine having such a plot generated automatically.. that would be really cool. could probably be done if championship mode is implemented. or if we use the forum login and allow for uploading of \"registered\" highscores. these could integrate into the normal online database, with the onl...

Re:Online score, extra columns and sortable tables.
using that javascript table sorting code will be difficult.. to use it , you would need to load all scores of a certain mode - and that can get HUGE! another problem would be that for some users javascript might not be available or too slow... so i would suggest to make 2 versions of the highscoreta...

Re:list of blockout clones
oh thanks :-)
of course - its freeware, so are the ideas in this game :-)
by the way - did you noticed the \"gravity gun\" ? try pressing left control key! you can suck up pieces already landed in the playfield and re-place and rotate them.

Re:Generic Application Error with new ATI drivers
@skrzat: great! opengl seems to be simply much more stable ;-) especially with older graphics cards. maybe you should consider buying a new graphics card.. i am considering to do so, too. radeon 9600 / 9550 is a nice card, but its getting old.. i am thinking about a ati 3850 ultimate - its very powe...

Re:Congratulations to FredJust
hy jean-luc: how many scores are affected from that \"endless play\" - \"gameplay-bug\" ? if it are only a few, you could just make an announcement and say that you are sorry, but that a few scores needs to be deleted and that those gamers should try to make a new highscore, this...

Re:Generic Application Error with new ATI drivers
yeah - timing under linux is difficult, thats the reason the sdl-team removed their highrestimers from the source code some time ago - i remember some dinscussions on the sdl-mailing lists. but this was some years ago - maybe today it works better and more stable? if i remember right, it had to do s...

Re:Generic Application Error with new ATI drivers
i know - the timers in sdl are only 10ms precise if i remember right. but i use my own timer simple highres timer class, see the attached file. on www.gaffer.org there is also code to do highres timers under linux: http://www.gaffer.org/game-physics/fix-your-timestep/ \"ok, under linux there ar...

Re:Generic Application Error with new ATI drivers
@skrzat: whats your graphics card model? just curious. do all other directX games run properly? @jeanluc: just an idea: how hard would it be to optionally allow to switch between directX and openGL ? i am very confident, that skrzat would be able to run in OpenGL mode. my personal experience is that...

Re:Resolution BL2
anyway you are right: it would be nice to have a way to manually enter the fullscreen resolution for strange hardware (for example fullHD 1920x1080 or 1366x768 or PAL or whatever some people might like to run fullscreen mode in) of course, you can already play fullscreen with the resolutions already...
